ACADIA ALERT - Delayed Campus Opening (Weather)

Acadia University will delay opening campus on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 until 12:30pm due to current weather and travel conditions. All classes starting at 12:30pm and later will continue as scheduled. Conditions on campus will be assessed throughout the morning and if there is a need to remain closed a follow up message will be sent.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus until it opens. Residences will be accessible, and Wheelock Dining Hall will be open.

Philosophy Department offices
The Beveridge Arts Centre (BAC) is the home of the Philosophy Department offices, as well as the building where most classes are held. Wi-fi connections are available throughout the BAC.

Philosophy Student Lounge (BAC Room 211)
The Department provides a comfortable lounge for all students in the program. The lounge features chalkboards, tables, chairs, a sofa, and Wi-Fi connections. In addition to being a frequently used study space, it is also the regular meeting place of the Philosophy Society. Philosophy majors who are interested in using the lounge should request keycard access by contacting the Department Head.
